Objective

To help Amazon Music podcasts throw the most exciting holiday season, party of the year – for podcast hosts, podcast creators, and their fans.

This would also provide a chance for the best and the brightest of the UK Podcast scene to come together and celebrate 2023.

Strategy

Taking inspiration from fan-driven festivals, pop-ups, and seasonal podcaster events, we proposed a smaller-scale but bespoke end-of-year activation.

This combined a live podcast session, mixed with hospitality, and an evening ending in live entertainment, all while dialling up the VIP experience for the guests, be they fans or presenters.

At its core this was part of a wider social campaign, so would act as the pinnacle activation around the best podcasts of the year. 

Solution

A curated evening of entertainment where celebs and fans could celebrate their work and the world of podcasting on Amazon Music.

With live recordings from +44 Podcast and Redhanded Podcast (ft. LalalaLetMeExplain!), taking the main stage in the evening’s schedule, we also lined up music from upcoming DJ Jasmine Rowland and the particularly festive Some Voices Choir to make sure there was never a dull moment. 

Away from the on-stage schedule, we entertained attendees throughout the event with a specialised food menu and bespoke cocktails endorsed by our podcasters. We also gave them the chance to be the host of some of their favourite shows, in a photobooth area all designed to drive content capture. 

The evening ended with a gift, each guest left with a bag full of goodies including exclusive merchandise from some of Amazon Music’s best-loved podcasts all to ensure the sharable moments extended past the event.
