Disney100: The Landmarks

The Challenge
During a jam-packed schedule of Disney activities both globally and locally, we needed to curate a campaign that would stand out and touch the hearts of Disney fans, ensuring a high impact whilst on a low budget.
The Approach
Disney has inspired films, parks and hearts for 100 years, but almost half (42%) of Brits were unaware that some of our most loved Disney films are based on real-world locations. For the first time, we would dive into the Disney archives and tell the stories behind these locations, releasing exclusive imagery paying homage to UK landmarks.

The Solution
Working with leading Disney photographer, Linda Blacker, a series of exclusive pictures were released showing iconic Disney scenes recreated from a modern-day perspective. This special picture series was supported by a list of 30 locations from Disney’s archive team that lifted the curtain on the real-world locations that inspired the movies across EMEA.
This multi-platform campaign was elevated on social where a competition drove over 350K engagements with Disney’s most successful campaign in the UK this year.
