Massive Marketing Quiz: 170 CMOs and £200,000 Raised

On 20 November, in London, PrettyGreen helped host one of the most uplifting nights in the industry as The Massive Marketing Quiz returned to Snap Inc HQ for its biggest year yet. Nearly 170 CMOs, agency leaders and brand partners came together for a night of creativity, fun and friendly competition, all in aid of two life-changing causes.

What began as a simple idea three years ago, gather the community, raise serious money and enjoy a brilliant night, has now become a flagship charity event for the UK marketing industry. This year’s Iconic Edition aimed to deliver record fundraising while spotlighting two organisations transforming lives every day.

The event has been shaped from the start by Joel Barnett at Fortune Hill, Craig Inglis at The Marketing Society, and supported throughout by PrettyGreen Founder and Chair, Mark Stringer. Working closely with Nicola Creighton and a passionate cross-industry team including Sherilyn Shackell, Founder and CEO of The Marketing Academy, and Russell Parsons, Editor in Chief of Marketing Week, the Quiz has become proof that marketing can be as socially powerful as it is commercially inventive.

Every pound raised is split between two exceptional beneficiaries.

The Marketing Academy Foundation creates career pathways for young people from diverse and low-income backgrounds, led by Lianre Robinson.

Under One Sky supports people experiencing homelessness with dignity, compassion and human connection, led by Mikkel Juel Iverson.

Hosted by Craig and Sherilyn, guests battled themed quiz rounds and at one point almost 200 people were on their feet singing The Proclaimers 500 Miles. The generosity kept building through table sponsorships, live donations and one of the most desirable charity auctions in marketing. Prizes ranged from hospitality at the 2026 British Grand Prix, luxury vineyard stays and family memberships, through to brand experiences money cannot buy. Every bid made a direct and meaningful contribution to the causes.

The atmosphere reminded everyone that the community is at its best when commercial talent meets shared humanity. As one guest put it, “A brilliant night with CMOs, great conversation and so much fun.” The sentiment echoed across the room with many calling it one of the best nights of the year.

For Mark Stringer, the night is deeply personal:

“Marketing is a genuine force for good, especially when 170 of the industry’s leading CMOs, agencies and partners unite to raise life-changing sums for those who need it most. It is a privilege to help make that happen.” Mark Stringer, Founder and Chair, PrettyGreen.

As Sherilyn Shackell reminded the room:

“In a world that feels like chaos on repeat, the UK marketing community needs a night to reconnect, laugh and do some good. The Massive Marketing Quiz is exactly that: great fun, brilliant minds, big hearts and a chance to raise a significant amount of money for charity while remembering what makes this industry so special, our people.” Sherilyn Shackell, Founder and Global CEO, The Marketing Academy.

The Massive Marketing Quiz has now cemented its place as one of the most talked-about charity events in the UK marketing industry. Across three years, it has raised more than £500,000, outperforming many national charity television formats, while building a powerful sense of community across brands, agencies and media partners.

PrettyGreen is proud to have played a part in an evening that delivered impact, belonging and joy in equal measure. Where creativity meets generosity, remarkable things happen and this year proved it again.

The auction remains live until 12 December, so bid big:
