PRETTYGREEN IS PROUD TO BE A B CORP

‘On July 2nd, PrettyGreen and our sister agency, The Producers received B Corp accreditation. This critical recognition of our commitment to people, planet and performance is our biggest win to date. It’s in our name – since the green shoots of our inception in 2008, we’ve strived to produce creativity for good balanced with commercial returns.

The certification is testament to growth – not just our investment in people and the environment, but our dedication to transparency and continuous improvement, and our belief that creative output can make a positive impact.’
Jessica Hargreaves-Paczek, CEO

BECOMING A B CORP

The balance between people, planet and performance is one we’ve struck successfully for fifteen years and counting, delivering award-winning creative work that delivers commercial cut through, whilst working consciously and collaboratively to help protect our world and create responsibly. We strive to turn the dial on the impact our industry makes, from harmful or wasteful to protective, positive and valuable.

B Corporations are the world-recognised leaders in inclusive, equitable and regenerative business. For us, aiming for accreditation was a no-brainer. We’re more than motivated by the movement: we share the community-wide commitment to use power for good, not just profit.

B-Impact assessment is rigorous, evaluating a company across five areas: Governance, Workers, Environment, Customers and Community. We reached the required accreditation score of 80 and then some – ultimately scoring 100.7. By way of comparison, the average score for an ordinary UK business is 50.7.

The certification isn’t a shiny badge or a box-ticking exercise for us. It’s recognition that our values, ambitions and principles are truly embedded in everything we do, as an agency and as individuals.

IMPACT COMMITMENTS

We work with three climate and carbon emissions partners. Compare Your Footprint allows us to record all emissions from client campaigns. Using TRACE by ISLA allows for detailed event recording and carbon analysis. SkootEco, founded by PrettyGreen Chairman Mark Stringer and a top 5% B Corp, has helped us counter the 831,000 tonnes of CO2 in our environmental impact: alongside Eden Reforestation, we’ve planted more than 26,000 trees, and with Plastic Bank we’ve prevented over 3,200 plastic bottles reaching oceans.

B-Corp status requires continuous commitment. All certified businesses undergo B-Impact reviews every three years. Our agency group of B-Keepers, representing every department, review B Corp best practices as well as record, research and improve our Scope 1-3 emissions. Our accreditation serves as both recognition and challenge: we celebrate all we’ve achieved whilst welcoming the chance to build on our success.

EVEN GREENER GOALS

We couldn’t be better placed to achieve our goals for the year ahead, including setting a Net Zero reduction target and embedding B Corp guidelines and ethics into every seam of our business.
