160 of the world's leading marketers gathered at Snap's London HQ for the Massive Marketing Quiz, raising £300,000 for homelessness charity Under One Sky and The Marketing Academy Foundation.

Now in its fourth year, the Massive Marketing Quiz brought together 160 senior marketers, business leaders, industry figures and leading agencies for an evening of competition, fundraising and, judging by some of the photos, the occasional headstand.

Where will the money be invested

The funds raised will support two organisations:

  • The Marketing Academy Foundation, which is helping create greater access and opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to build careers in marketing.
  • Under One Sky, a homelessness charity supporting people experiencing homelessness. It has grown from a grassroots movement taking support directly onto the streets into an organisation focused on helping people make lasting changes to their lives. Its work includes regular outreach through its Skywalks and its Lighthouse programme, which provides sustained, individual support.

A first look at Under One Sky's next campaign

During the evening, Under One Sky founder Mikkel Juel Iversen gave guests a first look at the charity's next major campaign. It will show how individuals and businesses can play a practical part in helping tackle homelessness, taking the energy generated by the Quiz beyond one evening.

The Marketing Academy Foundation's mission

The evening also heard from Lianre Robinson, CEO of The Marketing Academy Foundation, about the Foundation’s mission to make the marketing industry more accessible to people from a broader range of backgrounds. It’s a mission that feels particularly relevant at an event built around bringing the industry together, to use its collective reach and resources to create positive change.

PrettyGreen: proud supporters of the Massive Marketing Quiz

PrettyGreen has supported the Massive Marketing Quiz since its inception four years ago, and was represented on the night by CEO Jessica Hargreaves-Paczek and Founder Mark Stringer.

Jessica Hargeaves-Paczek, CEO at PrettyGreen said: "The Massive Marketing Quiz is always a brilliant night, but there was something particularly powerful about seeing 160 people from across our industry come together and raise £300,000. We're proud to have supported the Quiz for four years, and we can't wait to see what the industry achieves next."

Mark Stringer, Founder and Chairman at PrettyGreen added: "We spend our working lives using creativity, influencers and PR to make people notice and care about things, so when an industry comes together doing just that, we know how powerful that is. £300,000 in one evening is an extraordinary result, but it doesn't have to stop there. Bid generously, have some fun and help two brilliant organisations create more opportunities and change more lives. It's probably the easiest good deed you'll do all week."

The event was driven by Joel Barnett (Founder, Fortune Hill) and the team at Fortune Hill, alongside Craig Inglis (Emeritus Chair at TMS and Group Chief Customer Officer), Sherilyn Shackell (CEO & Founder, The Marketing Academy), Sophie Devonshire (CEO, The Marketing Society), Russell Parsons (Editor in Chief, Marketing Week), Jon Evans (Uncensored CMO) and Kerry Collinge (Co-Founder, lluminari ), with the support of businesses and individuals from across the marketing industry.

Bid in the Massive Marketing Quiz auction

While the Quiz itself may be over, the giving doesn't have to stop. The Massive Marketing Quiz auction is now live, giving anyone who couldn't attend another way to get involved, bid on experiences and prizes, and help increase the £300,000 already raised for Under One Sky and The Marketing Academy Foundation.
