‘Unleash The Beast’ with Maximuscle’s Athlete Anthony Yarde

Introducing Anthony ‘The Beast’ Yarde, one of Britain’s brightest boxing prospects. The Hackney-born 26 year-old is 12 wins in to his professional career and already making steps to world success, but relatively untouched by the UK media and yet unknown to the lesser boxing fans. Maximuscle has been supporting his rise in the sport, helping him to improve in all aspects of his training and we were challenged to reveal the man behind one of the most explosive boxers in the country in the lead up to his latest fight.

In the week’s build-up to his 12th fight on 8th July. Maximuscle and PrettyGreen were given exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the pre-fight build-up. We wanted to reveal a never before seen look inside the training camp to one of Britain’s most exciting boxing prospects. We implemented a week-long plan to build media awareness and create unique content exclusive for the Maximuscle social channels, driving back to Maximuscle’s role in supporting elite sporting talent.

The fight build up started 8 days before the main event at an exclusive media training session with ‘The Beast’. The first chance for press including The Sun, Evening Standard and Independent Online to see inside Yarde’s training camp at the notorious Peacock’s Gym, East London. They were given the full experience of how he prepared for his biggest fight to date, including a step inside the ring themselves. Vaishali Bhardwaj from Evening Standard and Wally Downes took on the challenge as they were put through their paces, learning skills, combos and even got a chance to have a crack at The Beast. Once recovered, media were given a chance for one-on-one interviews, with Evening Standard broadcasting live on their Facebook page.

Alongside the media exclusives, the sports team spent the week with The Beast to capture exclusive content to give fans access to the behind-the-scenes action. The countdown was on….

With three days until Fight Night, the sports team headed down to an open workout with BT Sport at Peacocks Gym. Allowing media get up close and personal with Anthony Yarde, whilst he showed off his skills. The team captured exclusive social content via Instagram Stories…..

Two days to go and the team were at BT Sports HQ for the Press Conference. Things got heated between fighters but The Beast wasn’t fazed and was in confident mood as we held an Instagram Q & A session with questions sent in from Maximuscle fans.
