These Are The Good Times

Two weeks ago we opened a pub. All in a day’s work for us, but instead of a classic PrettyGreen knees up, this was to launch the Magners Arms – the best place in town to find quintessential Irish hospitality.

You might think that the last place to take inspiration for a night in the pub from is a scientific study. But you’d be wrong. Working with Emma Kenny, we created the ultimate night out combining all the key ingredients you need to have the best time.

Head here for the facts.

Every great pub needs a great character behind the bar, and who better to serve our patrons a refreshing cider than the lovely Caroline Flack. Social media competition winners and media were invited to join in the good times.

Irish small plates with Magners at their core and accompanying cocktails from our friends at @tweetandchilli kept our punters happy. Unconventional guitar sounds from the Balearic Islands and classic tracks in a pub style from our in-house pianist went down a treat, despite the PrettyGreen Choir adding their voices.

And if, like us, you question why a pub quiz has to drag on for hours, we have the answer. The Magners Arms version takes 10 minutes in a one-chance, quick fire quizzing shootout for the coveted trophy. We’re wondering just how a member of the Events team took home the cup, but when you’re that good at identifying legendary rock tracks performed by terrible Elvis impersonators, who are we to argue?

Sadly, the Magners Arms has called time, but head to magners.co.uk for more good times.
