The Ultimate Union

News reached us yesterday that London Irish Rugby Club have formed an unlikely partnership with a girl group called Fanfair – at first we were a little dubious that a gaggle of preened and plucked beauties would stand up to the rigours of being in a scrum half, however, we swiftly learnt that the girls “will be utilising the rugby team’s various communication channels to promote their music.”

So there we are. As much as we can see the fun in slugging through mud to sing to a 24,000 strong crowd on a freezing winters day, it still poses the question — are rugby fans the most receptive of audience (even if Fanfair are covering the club’s anthem by Thin Lizzy)?

Here at PrettyGreen we love looking at new channels our brands can venture down. However, we do like to think that there is a natural synergy in what we pick… Where will these partnerships end? A catwalk show during the Grand National? Colgate partnering the 100m sprint photo finishes? Hang on, they ARE quite good partnerships…
