The Race is on…
This week Pretty Green launched Cadbury Spots v Stripes Race Season, a new game from the sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games designed to get Brits to take part in playing more games in the run up to London 2012.
Race Season kicked off on Tuesday 1st March with the gorgeous Alexandra Burke and Olympic legend Steve Beckley who went head to head to break a Guinness World Record in coin stacking. With 25 2p coins the heat was on for Alexandra (team Spots) and Steve Backley (team Stripes) who battled out. Steve channeled his athletic discipline to sweep victory with an impressive 24.43 seconds setting the Guinness World Record in the fastest stack of 25 coins.
The Race Season launch proved to be a resounding success starting with a very early rise for Alexandra’s appearance on Daybreak where presenter Christine Bleakely beat both Adrian Chiles and Alexandra in the coin stacking race.
Alexandra however proved she had the X-Factor in brand endorsement. After an early rise on Daybreak our day didn’t stop there, as a series of interviews ensued racking up multiple TV appearances including OK TV, MTV and Newsround. Olympic legend Steve Backley didn’t escape the limelight with a series of national press and radio interviews to wrap up a rather busy day.
