Superclubs, Supperclubs and Supercars in Ibiza

For those of you who haven’t been to Ibiza yet this year, our very own Susie (Head of Talent) Richardson has just come back and here are her thoughts…

Susie hopped over to Ibiza and came back full of beans, delighted to report that the White Isle hasn’t lost its magic.

A long, lazy Sunday lunch & several magnums of Ibizan rosé at El Chiringuito provided the perfect warm up for the We Love… opening party at Space.

Legendary promoters Mark & Sarah Broadbent recently handed the legendary night over to Safehouse Management, so the jury was out but thankfully We Love… has still got it. Susie’s Shazam got a lot of action, especially for the last hour when London lads Dusky killed it. Last tune was Laurent Garnier’s classic The Man With The Red Face. Tune!

Monday – full on DC-10 was bypassed in favour of the stunning supperclub Lío, Pacha’s cool jetset little sister.  Lío do not provide a valet parking service since most guests arrive on their 80m superyachts which they moor up by the front door.  Handy.  The show, staff, service, setting and everything about it is sexy and stunning, go.

Spent Tuesday recuperating at Sa Trinxa (Salinas), listening to classic Ibiza tunes, watching the parades (Flower Power at Pacha) and bumping into old friends on the beach.  Commented on two sweet, pasty teenage boys looking slightly out of place toddling past in their preppy shirts and shorts, then clocked their Defected tote, and realized they were Disclosure.  We all felt about 53.

Wednesday – a day of rest & dinner at the tapas institution that is La Bodega in Ibiza Town.

Felt strange seeing the ‘totally pumped’ Miami to Ibiza Gumball rally guys rolling into town in their £billions worth of Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Ferraris…didn’t feel really in keeping with the cool Ibiza vibe, not least as coincidentally Greenpeace had moored up in their Rainbow Warrior, supporting the ‘no drilling for oil in Ibiza’ campaign. Awkward.

Rainbow Warrior – no drilling

Thursday – flew back with Ibiza resident & Tribe legend Bruce Parry, popping back to the UK to sell his flat so he can live life free of debt and possessions…
