So this happened…’Best Use of PR’ at the BT Sport Industry Awards 2018

As our friend, Conor McGregor, has said previously – “We’re not here to take part, we’re here to take over.”


And that’s basically how we felt on Thursday night, where we were awarded on-stage in front of a sell-out crowd of 1,700 guests at the star-studded BT Sport Industry Awards event, the gong for ‘Best Use of PR’ for our work with Betsafe and Mr McGregor himself.


The award is a brilliant acknowledgement of what was an incredible team effort by literally everyone involved on the massive campaign – 4 crazy and exhausting weeks, 1 private jet, 11,268 miles travelled, 2 epic nights in Vegas, 30 very happy passengers and over 100 pieces of coverage that smashed the client’s commercial targets.

Although we fancied our chances of potentially collecting our own award, to be amongst the winners from other categories was beyond humbling. Those included -the bravery of US gymnasts represented by Rachael Denhollander, QPR’s response to the Grenfell tower tragedy, Sir Mo Farah, fully accessible fun run and free family festival Parallel London. Not bad company for us to be in!

So to next year’s awards, where the ‘take over’ will hopefully continue….
