PrettyGreen launched the world’s first PERi-PERi pop-up: Nando’s Yard

What tastes great with PERi-PERi? Well, try a three week pop-up in Shoreditch programmed with music, arts and gaming events, amongst fitness classes, industry workshops and supper clubs…

This summer, PrettyGreen were on hand to help launch the highly anticipated Nando’s Yard – a three week pop-up which opened across August to people in and around London.

Nando’s Yard brought fans together to enjoy the restaurant’s delicious PERi-PERi, alongside a huge programme of events and workshops, including cookery classes with Bake Off’s Liam Charles, live Booth Truths episodes with Professor Green, and intimate gigs with the likes of Grace Carter and Kurupt FM.

There was also the option to brunch on Nando’s famous (but mysterious!) breakfast menu, featuring a flame-grilled chicken sausage only available outside of Nando’s Yard at two UK restaurants.

Spreading the word, PrettyGreen achieved over 140 pieces of editorial coverage for the campaign, including a half-page feature in Time Out, online pieces across all key national and lifestyle press, broadcast mentions on Capital FM, and social coverage on the likes of LADbible’s Instagram grid and across Buzzfeed’s Stories – which definitely brought the hype!

As if that wasn’t enough, we opted to turn up the heat even further, celebrating the launch of Nando’s Yard with a limited-edition clothing line and look-book, including festival-ready bucket hats, tour t-shirts, and Reuben Dangoor tote bags – which caught the attention of The IndependentWonderland and GRM Daily, amongst others.

Here at PrettyGreen, we also like to go above and beyond, with our very own Account Executive, Lloyd, taking on his modelling debut. He’s yet to be discovered, though hopes to one day tour the world for his new-found talent.

Working in tandem with a cross-agency team to deliver an integrated campaign, Nando’s Yard was all in all a PERi-big success – and we eagerly anticipate the day it returns… For more information on project, and to watch back some key highlights, head here:
