PrettyGreen Flexes it's Muscle

Protein – you can find it in fish, you can find it in meat, you can find it in eggs and on Friday, you could find it improving the training regimes of 50 aspiring footballers at the amazing facilities of Surrey Sports Park as Maximuscle and the PrettyGreen events team ran the first in the series of their Protein Project events.

Protein Project

Maximuscle’s Protein Project aims to highlight the benefits of protein intake to everyday sports people, dispelling the misconception that only elite athletes and bodybuilders can benefit from their products. The Protein Project has selected everyday sports people who play football, rugby and boxing and offered them the opportunity to come along to a training day.

The lucky applicants were also asked to write the very own ‘Protein Pledge‘ which outlines the goals they hope to reach by utilising Maximuscle. Friday’s event was the first step in their quest to fulfill the pledge but the, journey continues with regular updates via social media.

The event which demonstrated training exercises, techniques and skills that will benefit applicants according to their preferred sport as well as how adding Maximuscle’s products to their diet can dramatically improve their performance.

That’s obviously a dynamite offer for those who are interested, but let’s just consider the inclusion of a football skill session and Q&A with ex-Arsenal royalty, Martin Keown and England capped goalkeeper Rob Green and we’re talking about making 50 amateur footballers day.

Braving the Baltic conditions, the rain, a 3.30am start and a Hyundai hire car, the PrettyGreen team were on hand all day to make sure the event ran like clockwork.

In a double shock for PrettyGreen, new events recruit Jack demonstrated both his ‘sport shoes’ and impeccable football technique. Despite repeated offers, his advice was not sought by either professional OR amateur footballers attending the day.

Weird.
