PrettyGreen Are Running The Estate

We’re really pleased to officially announce our appointment on the Great Shaftesbury Run, which isn’t a shopping dash around London.

The charity run on 12th June 2011, will see PrettyGreen’s Run Club and many hundreds more, travel down to this amazing and historic Dorset Estate, park and grounds, which are being opened to the public for the first time in 60 years.

We were lucky enough to be introduced to Lord Shaftesbury, by Wings For Life (the charity aiming to find a cure for spinal injury), and were inspired by his story and ambition.

We know there are lots charity runs, but very few take place in such a historic and beautiful location.

A few of the PrettyGreen gang have been around the Estate in Wimborne St.Giles, and we can confirm that it’s probably one of the most beautiful places we’ve been lucky enough to visit, and as we’ve already got a Run Club, we’re unsure if we’ll be running the 10km course, the half-marathon or both.

But we’ve heard lots of people making a lot of lame excuses as to why they can’t do it, but when:-
1. Lord Shaftesbury asks you to run round his Estate
2. He’s someone who’s broken his back, yet he’s doing it

You say yes.

It’s also for some great causes.
– Wings for Life
– The Philip Green Memorial School
– Sparkle Appeal

So come on, get involved, you know it will be fun
