PR Week’s Best Places to Work Awards 2021. Sounds good doesn’t it?

We’ve always been told by new joiners and external consultants that we have an inclusive & supportive culture, but we’ve never been really good at putting it into words for public viewing…until now!

PR Week’s Best Places To Work Awards 2021 & PR Week’s Employee Support During COVID-19.   Sounds good doesn’t it? So thrilled to announce we’ve been shortlisted for these two awards after a year like no other. Our focus is always to ensure the wellbeing and mental health of our team and we are so proud of how hard everyone worked together to support each other. To put clear boundaries in place for work life balance, to nurture, mentor and provide incredible benefits and support during lockdowns.

We’ve had to innovate together, and it’s been a tough challenge, but its’ great for the whole team to be recognised for prioritising mental health and wellbeing.

We have introduced an Employee Assistance Programme where everyone has 24/7 access to mental health and wellbeing support, including sessions with psychotherapists and CBT experts, covering everything from stress to addiction to bereavement counselling. We have ‘Health at Hand’ nurses, midwives and pharmacists for health queries and concerns and a Life Management Team to assist with house buying, wills, divorce and budget management.

We created a wellbeing conference in September, which replaced our annual summer day out, where experts in yoga, music therapy, mindfulness, meditation and resilience came together to educate the team on looking after their own health and wellbeing.

Balancing work and play, while working from home on lockdown, can be tough, so we have also set clear boundaries, including a 2pm Friday finish, a clear lunch hour (it’s blocked out of all of our diaries) for some much-needed zoom downtime and no WhatsApp, emails or messages pre-8am, post-7pm or over weekends.

Our ‘Life’s for Living Allowance’ recognises everyone is unique, so the team can choose to use the private health scheme or use the equivalent investment for what they need, be that driving lessons or dental health. On top of that everyone has a monthly leisure allowance to invest into the gym or a new pair of trainers and an additional £100 every year to spend on a life defining moment to ensure that, even in lockdown, everyone can be inspired.

We have an amazing team at PrettyGreen & The Producers and in the past 12 months where the world turned upside down, we didn’t change our mantra of “Less Ordinary”, we embraced it, our amazing team never stopped giving 100% and we never stopped investing in them.
