COMMUTING LIKE IT’S 1817 WITH AUDIBLE

To mark the launch of the audio dramatisation of Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey, Audible created Austen Taxis where commuters were able to immerse themselves in the world of Austen and take a break from the daily grind.

Travelling through the hectic streets of London, passengers listened to humorous excerpts of Austen’s work to mark the significant 200th anniversary since Austen’s death, making it a commute from King’s Cross Station with a difference.

To celebrate the iconic Jane Austen and uncover more about the influential author behind the book, Audible also worked with renowned historian and Austen expert, Lucy Worsley who also enjoyed a ride in one of our Austen Taxis.

Produced by Audible’s Grammy-award winning Audible Studios and directed by multi-award winning Katherine Thomson, Northanger Abbey stars Emma Thompson, Lily Cole, Douglas Booth, Jeremy Irvine, Eleanor Tomlinson and Ella Purnell.
