2017 was the year of the Best Customer OnBlackheath Festival – the annual, John Lewis sponsored Festival which took place on the 9th/10th September in Greenwich, London.


With headliners Travis (performing ‘The Man Who’) and The Libertines taking to the stage, there was a little something for everyone to enjoy and to make the experience a little more special for John Lewis’s most loyal customers, we designed and installed a secret VIP area, right next to the main stage.


Treated to a free bar, unlimited nibbles and snacks and a BBQ by Benugos, there were also elements of surprise and delight including festival make-overs by Marc Jacobs, headdress making and crafts, a photo experience hosted by Microsoft and Canon and cocktail and Meantime beer workshops.


Finally, to heighten guests’ festival experience (quite literally), a viewing platform was set above the bar, providing unrivalled views of the main stage – the perfect spot to watch the acts, up and above the crowds.


For the wider public, we brought back the John Lewis Demo Stage, curated by Masterchef Finalist Tony Rodd and the Cookery School, hosted by MC finalists Ham and Hen.


Despite a little wind and rain, all cookery school sessions were fully booked on both days, the demo stage sessions were packed and over 500 VIP guests and their families were invited to enjoy the delights of the VIP area. A successful weekend all round.
