Isn't it odd that PR Agencies Advertise

So the big debate this week; should PR Agencies run Ads, and we’re not talking about becoming Ad Agencies, we’re talking about running their own Ad campaigns.

And yes we know it’s all about the full marketing mix, and single disciplines alone don’t deliver etc. etc.

But when PR Agencies take press ads out in Trade Mags, you wonder who they are trying to talk to. Shouldn’t they/ we saying we don’t actually take out Ads as we’re so bloody good at what we do, we don’t need to.

You also wonder who actually cares if you change your name, have a new offering, or have a piece of research to share (unless it helps you get more editorial).

Anyway it perplexed us.
