I feel a game of Top Trumps coming on…

Today The Home Office launched their new site police.uk. The website hosts a tool for mapping crime in your local area, showing where high incident areas of anti social behaviour, robbery and all that other fun stuff are concentrated. With an estimated 75,000 hits per minute the website has been crashing regularly since it’s launch this morning. As the public scrabble to find out how safe their local area is, or as we suspect gather stats for a game of Postcode Crime Top Trumps, we’ve kicked off the PG crime stat league…

Pete (through repeated refreshing) managed to get on the site first. Weighing in with a hefty ‘All Crime and Anti Social Behaviour’ total of 1866, his top runners include; ASB: 700, Other Crime: 663 and Violent Crime: 206. The bars on his front door are a clear indication of his front running in this competition.

The rest of the team are still to get on the site, but stay tuned to the PG Twitter for updates on who wins the grand prize of self defense training and a stab vest.
