Games Maker, Set and Match

Working with Cadbury in the run up to the London 2012 Games has really opened our eyes to a whole host of Paralympic sports. PrettyGreeners have played a bit of Wheelchair Rugby, Sitting Volleyball and last Friday we discovered the amazing sport of Wheelchair Tennis.

As part of our involvement in the Games Maker Orientation days, ten lucky competition winners and our Events team headed to the Queen’s Club for a session with Paralympic Tennis whiz Jordanne Whiley. They enjoyed a great training session with professional coaches and were given the chance to take on British Number 1 Jordanne and her partner Lucy Shuker.

PrettyGreeners looked on and marvelled at the skills on show and snapped at the chance to play on the hallowed courts of Queen’s. It was all too much for our own Ben ‘Fred Perry’ Knight, who, at the drop of a hat transformed himself into full tennis whites.

A superb lunch was served (sorry) in the Club Restaurant to round off what was a truly ace (sorry) day.
