Every Day is Match Day for Under Armour

As you may remember, we’ve been helping create the Every Day is Match Day for Under Armour and last Tuesday the big match took place.

All the Spurs fans in the office (and there are a lot of them), tried to secure a place on the Team Sheet, but unfortunately the harsh reality is most of them will struggle kicking the bucket, let alone a ball, and none of them made the grade.

The doors of White Hart Lane, similar to those of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, were thrust open as 32 promising amateurs, grinning like Cheshire cats, got to experience a snippet of life as a professional footballer. True to British form, the heavens duly opened before kick-off, and like true professionals PrettyGreeners led the charge to huddle under too-small umbrellas (if only we’d had our supply of PR Clipboards to use as a Roman Shield).

It was an amazing 90 minutes, even complete with sunshine, which ended with a slightly flattering 5-1 score line in Daws’ favour, including a cracking free-kick from our eventual Man of the Match that got our sell-out crowd on their feet and spilling their coffees (OK, not sell-out, but they did spill their coffee’s) – Christian Eriksen, you’ve got competition! Beside a slightly dismayed Brad Friedel (though he daren’t show it), not a single player on either team left White Hart Lane without a smile, a memory vault filled to the brim, and a bulging kit bag.

Match day over, keep a lookout for our future stars gracing a Premier League pitch near you – sadly, or maybe fortunately, it won’t be a name from the PrettyGreen Team Sheet.
