Countdown to Nintendo Switch. Is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild the best game of all time?

We can’t tell you of course.

Nor can the rest of the world (not until this coming Thursday at least).

What we can tell you, is that last week PrettyGreen teamed up with our client Nintendo to deliver a two-day preview experience for Nintendo Switch launch titles Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and party game 1-2-Switch – and so far, the response has been pretty, darn, good.

The combined forces of the Comms and Events teams created a space off Leicester Square where a group of hand-selected media could come and play the first five hours of Breath of the Wild – all in an environment flowing with booze, snacks and Nintendo experts on hand to answer any and all questions the journalists could throw at them.

Such is the secrecy; we can’t even show you the finished venue for fear of spoilers.  So here’s an image of Link looking bloomin’ pleased with himself for climbing a mountain (yes, you can climb mountains).

We ended the day with a look at the final version of 1-2-Switch, another launch title for the new Nintendo console. Guests from two teams milked cows, took part in an eating contest, dueled with wands and cracked a safe on their way to victory over the other. All while looking each other square in the eyes rather than the screen – a first for the video game industry.

Keep an eye out as the full reviews drop this week.

The Nintendo Switch, Breath of the Wild and 1-2-Switch all launch this Friday 3rd March across the UK.
