Where Chocolatey Dreams Are Made…

At PG we are lucky enough to be able to call Cadbury World in Bournville our second home (yes, really!), so we were delighted to get the chance to share some chocolatey joy over the weekend with a gang of Mumsnet bloggers and a rather interesting chap called Captain Spoon…

Some of the most influential voices in mummy blogging came together for the event which took place in a bid to introduce the latest (and in our humble opinion, one of the most awesome) products from Cadbury – Egg ‘n’ Spoon.

An afternoon of fun and games, we really put the product to test with mums, dads, kids and grandparents alike – asking them for their thoughts, how they plan to eat it and if it’ll be a hit this Easter… we’re thrilled to say that the answer was a resounding YES!

Bringing it to life and adding a bit of dramatic effect to the day was the memorable Captain Spoon – a jolly Joyville fellow you might have seen on TV who was there to ensure that the ritual of eating Egg ‘n’ Spoon was followed to a T – for those of you trying it out at home, it goes a little something like this… (Claire MacDonald looking like a pro at this now and we still LOVE Vine)

Easter’s now fast approaching (arguably chocolate’s real time to shine, a bit like Anne Hathaway in Les Mis) and after a day of hard work trying it out, chatting with the bloggers and playing egg and spoon races with their kids we have to agree with the gang from Mumsnet – Egg ‘n’ Spoon really is the perfect treat for the whole family.

So with February virtually over, it’s practically mandatory to start prepping for the Easter Bunny’s arrival. Our advice is to go straight out and find a chocolate laying chicken, wait for it to cluck a few times, collect the mousse filled eggs from the coop and get involved.

Or, you know, if that doesn’t work, or you’re feeling a bit impatient, just go and buy one from the supermarket…
