#CatsOfInstagram Walked Down the Red Carpet for Cartoon Network’s UniKitty

The red carpet is down, bulbs are flashing, celebrities are posing against the step and repeat board but all the paparazzi are focusing on is…cats…? Last night we worked with Cartoon Network to host the UK’s first ever cat premiere, to promote the launch of UniKitty on the 5th of March. And trust us, it was purrrrfect!

Cartoon Network gave us the exciting challenge to create a newsworthy event to maximise social conversation and media buzz around the launch of UniKitty. Our answer? Cats, cats, and more cats.

Hosted at Odeon Haymarket, we created an exclusive premiere event where only the highest of cat society were invited. Clawing for the purrparazzi’s attention, Instagram famous kitties including Maine Coon Apollo, the mischievous Loki and the grumpy-faced Haribo, sashayed across the red carpet in a range of designer furs, competing for column inches and trying to out sass the star of the show, UniKitty (who sadly could not attend).

Cartoon Network is transporting viewers to a joyous kingdom full of sparkle matter, happy thoughts and the occasional rage-out in Unikitty!, an all-new animated series produced by Warner Bros. Animation. The series follows Unikitty, the beloved character from The LEGO® Movie, and a whole cast of friends into a world full of adventure, excitement and dance parties.

These famous felines mingled with other showbiz faces including Stacey Solomon, Lydia Bright, Chris Stark and red-carpet host (and aptly named) Kat Shoob, who all sat down together to enjoy a preview of the first two episodes of The UniKitty series.

Milk was on tap, as were cat treats for our kitty divas, as they cat-napped through the screening. Celebrities in attendance couldn’t get enough of our furry friends as they posed for pictures with them and posted their cute faces all over their social channels.
