Putting On The Ritz … it’s the BT Sport Industry Awards!

Awards season is now in full flow, and we have barely had a breather from one night to another before donning our glad rags and heading to Battersea Evolution for the BT Sport Industry Awards. After scooping one accolade last month at the European Sponsorship Awards, it was Under Armour’s turn once again to walk the red carpet and cross fingers. Why? Because we’d only gone and nabbed a finalist spot for Best Use of PR for last year’s activation with British tennis legend Andy Murray on the roof of Canary Wharf! Time to turn up…

And turn up we did. Creative wands (that are definitively not just curling tongs, says Rosie) and fake lashes in one dressing room, a toothbrush and wax in the other, our awesome foursome of Strings, Sian, Rosie and James alongside some of Under Armour’s elite suited, booted, and headed to swanky Chelsea Bridge to begin the celebrations in style.

Our team of 11 (including the formidable man-mountain that is Anthony Joshua, who really could have taken three seats) drank, ate, chuckled and rip-roared our way through a thoroughly fantastic evening in a room filled wall-to-wall with some of the country’s most talented, skilful athletes ever. Oh, and that’s without mentioning the presence of Prince Harry who, after last night’s witty performance, even left James fancying the Royal hunk a little. Think Where’s Wally, with A-Listers – never have we felt quite so small!

Okay, we may not have won this time around and we were pipped at the post by a nose by Betfair’s Switching Saddles campaign, but the evening on the whole was unforgettable… and not just because we may or may not have huge hangovers today and lots, and lots, of fond memories. Now, where’s that Berocca?
