Best Christmas Experiences of 2017

Christmas is well and truly here and with it comes a plethora of twinkly, tinsel-covered festive experiences and events. At PrettyGreen we work hard to drive engagement and ROI through brand experiences and at Christmas* we like to play just as hard too.

So, in the spirit of Christmas list writing we polled the office to create our recommendations of the best Christmas experiences we’ve spotted so far this year.

*And all other times of the year

1. The Slideatron

The Slideatron is bringing out the kid in all of us this month. Not only does this event sound like a toy we all had on our Christmas list in 1996, it’s also a 20-ft helter skelter built around an LED lit Christmas tree in the middle of Wembley Park. What’s not to love?

And once you’ve satisfied the dare devil in you, you can feed your senses too by tasting your way around Christmas street food stalls and bars. Yep, pretty amazing.

Open until 2nd January.

2. Get Together With Pringles This Christmas

This Christmas Pringles is encouraging us to #GetTogether with them as they bring their ‘Pringelves’ to Winterville on Clapham Common and Spinningfields in Manchester to deliver festive frolics for groups of friends. With Karaoke, party props, games and quick fire Christmas quizzes, you can try Pringles’ Christmas flavours – Pigs in Blankets and Xmas Turkey – paired with festive mocktails.

Every Thurs – Sun until 17 December.

3. The V&A’s Singing Christmas Tree

The V&A has bought digital innovation to the traditional Christmas tree this year making us all wonder whether pine needles on the lounge carpet could soon be a thing of Christmas-past.

The museum’s singing Christmas tree conceived by Es Devlin as part of the museum’s ‘Sounds Like Christmas’ programme is actually a robot that learns festive words from the public that are then projected in the shape of a tree and transformed into an audio-visual carol.  Mariah Carey – watch out.

Live until 6th  January.

4. The McCain Restaurant

In our opinion, the Roast Potato is Christmas Dinner royalty so we tip our hats to the people at McCain who are bringing 100,000 roast potato combinations to the streets of London with their pop-up ‘Roastaurant’ at the Truman Brewery this weekend. Also on site is a Gravy Micro-Brewery offering a selection of unique gravy options to ensure your chosen roast potatoes receive the VIP dressing they deserve. You just need to book a seat at the table!

Open 8-10th December

5. La Soiree

Ending on a bang – La Soiree is back, this time in the West End and is a must-do this Christmas. Hysterically, outrageously, shockingly, inspirationally, amazingly uplifting. La Soiree’s circus style cabaret brings the ho, ho, ho to Christmas. Time Out says: “if you don’t glimpse at least one bare dick over the course of its dozen dazzling acts, I suggest you ask for your money back.” We’re going this weekend so we’ll let you know…

Runs until 3rd February
